Objective: To design and assemble a company cookbook filled with recipes from our team as a holiday gift for their clients during a worldwide pandemic.
Approach: There was a very short timeline to assemble the recipes and photographs for this project. For this recipe book to be consistently arranged, I needed to create a system to bring the content together. I used color to help organize the book and created layouts that felt consistent in design and at the same time visually different enough to not become too predictable. Since it was a gift during an unprecedented time, I felt I needed to add warmth into the design for it to be inviting and personable. Using experimental topography, I created a cover using my own two hands as the focal point. The result was a book that our team felt proud to have themselves and to send out to all their clients.
